Dr. Kristine Harper is excited to join Oakhurst Elementary as the Assistant Principal.  While she is a native of North Dakota, her heart has always been in the south.  She began her career in education as a special education teacher near the New Orleans area at Picayune Junior High, located in Picayune, Mississippi before moving to DFW.  Her career in FWISD began as the Data Analyst at Lily B Clayton before coming to Oakhurst.  

Her love of learning continues to drive her to do her best when it comes to helping students and teachers grow.  She holds an Associates degree in Television Production from Brown College in Mendota Heights, MN.  It was her drive to help kids excel that led to her obtaining her bachelors degree in Elementary and Special Education at the University of Southern Mississippi.  The drive to continue learning led to her earning a Masters in Special Education, focusing in behavior disorders, and a Doctorate in School Administration.  

She is looking forward to making an impact in the lives of our students, teachers, and families at Oakhurst.
